Opportunity: Automation Systems Technician
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 12 hours per day

Opportunity Description:

  • Work with the client’s HVAC systems, Building Automation Systems, and the Building Management System.
  • Service and maintain the clients BAS Tier 2 and 3 levels as required which involves all automated control of all HVAC units, components, and devices.
  • Reviews sequences of operation, changes or writes programs as required to ensure correct system operation, performs bindings and other Lon-Works operations as required to establish correct communications between componentry, and assists with the preparation of as-built documentation
  • Work closely with the client coordinators on acceptance, clients TCCC processes, and warranty situations
  • Identifies and resolves problems for all types of service calls including emergency calls; analyzes repair requirements and provides customer with appropriate solutions; completes necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. May require originality and ingenuity in some situations
  • Completes accurate and detailed service reports for client to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking
  • Utilize advanced programming skills to execute new and existing projects and troubleshoot problems
  • Executes all work in accordance with Provincial, local regulations, general best practices as well as company health and safety policies and procedures
  • Keeps up to date and informed on all company products, services and polices
  • Presents a professional image of Fort McKay Alcor at all times in appearance and behavior and seeks opportunities to promote the services offered by the company
  • Communicates with and works with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations of Fort McKay Alcor
